HERMES Team successfully participated in the Design, Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) Conference 2026, held in Verona, Italy, as part of the Young People Programme (YPP). The programme is a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers, providing them with opportunities to engage with cutting-edge developments in design automation, embedded systems, and emerging technologies. During the event, the team presented its work on advanced robotic systems, embedded control architectures, and the engineering principles behind its exoskeleton technologies. The conference offered a valuable platform for interaction with students, researchers, and industry professionals from across Europe and beyond, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. The University of Thessaly had a strong presence at DATE 2026 through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, represented by HERMES Team, as well as the CASLAB, Coin-3D, and CSL laboratories. This collective participation highlighted the university’s active contribution to research and innovation in the fields of robotics and embedded systems. Participation in DATE 2026 provided HERMES Team with the opportunity to showcase its research, gain insights from leading experts, and strengthen its international network within the scientific and engineering community.
